He did real well at his 4 month doctor appointment. He now weighs 15lbs 15 oz (60th percentile, but I think he is 16 pounds now), 25 inches long (40th percentile) and his head is 42cm (60th percentile). He is getting to be a big boy. He started cereal last week and tonight I gave him carrots for the first time and he loved it. He ate the whole container.

Logan's 3 Month Pictures
We finally got Logan's three month pictures back. It took two attempts to get these pictures completed. The first time we went he was really fussy and ended up getting a fever that day. So we went back a week later and had his pictures done. Here are some of the pictures.

Logan is Almost 4 Months!
I have been a bad blogging mom. Here is what is going on with Mr. Logan.
At his 2 month appointment these were his stats:
11lbs 15oz (40th percentile)
22" long (10th percentile)
15" head (30th percentile)
He got his shots and mom cried. He is on Zantac for acid reflux and just started physical therapy for his neck (he has a torticollis). We are hoping that he just needs 2 months of physical therapy every week and then we can reduce the time. I met another mom whose little boy had it and that was the path they took.Logan does have a flat back of the head on the right side (the side he favors) and her little boy's head looked normal (he had a flat spot as well), so it gives me hope that in a couple of months Logan's head will be better. It is hard with him being in daycare since I am not there to monitor everything.
Today I took him to a Gymboree play and learn class. He is a class for 6 month and older infants, but the teacher prefers that he is in that class. My child looked bigger than most 6 month olds! Brian missed this class because of work, but we are hoping that he will be able to make some of them with us next month when he has some Saturdays free.
We are hoping Brian gets a new job soon so that he can spend more time with us. He doesn't get to see Logan much during the week because of work. We would love for him to get a job where he is home every night and doesn't have to work weekends on this rotating schedule he has. Say prayers that things work out!
Here are some pictures of the little guy!

A big welcome to our newest family member. Logan John Thomas was born April 21st at 3:15 in the afternoon. He was a month and a day early. I was on bed rest 2 weeks prior to his arrival. I started having contractions on April 5th and had to go to the hospital to have them stopped and to get steroid shots to help in his lung development. A week later I was in the hospital again because his heart rate was on the high side. At the last stress test I had, April 19th, everything looked good. I was even given the green light to go to the movies. The night before he was born I was getting ready for the little guy. I was washing his blankets and towels and decided to stay up a little later than I was used to. Big mistake. At 2:15 am Saturday (April 21st) I thought that I had to go to the bathroom, but my water broke. Of course Brian was working the night shift. I had to wait almost an hour and a half for him to come home and take a shower before we were ready to go to the hospital. Thank goodness I wasn't in any pain.
Of course once I got to the hospital my contractions were slowing down. I was put on Pitocin to regulate the contractions. After 5 minutes of being on the drug I was starting to feel the contractions in my back. I was in so much pain that I was crying. So it was time for the epidural. The first attempt was unsuccessful. The doctor didn't like the way it went in. So we had to try a second time for the epidural to go in. By the time that second one was done I was so numb from the medicine of the first one that I couldn't feel a thing. About a half hour after that it was go time. Little Logan was born healthy at 6lbs, 6oz. We did have to spend an extra night in the hospital because of his jaundice, but we got to take him home on Tuesday, April 24th. He is almost back to his birth weight, but he is a good little eater and sleeper.

As February 2012 Comes to a Close...
I have been a bad blogger. But since Brian and I are expecting a little boy in May I have decided that we need to start this thing up again. We have been both busy with work and that is no excuse to let our family and friends know what is going on once the baby arrives.
We are planning a Burns Family shower on March 31st at the Rochester Chop House. My mom and my two sisters are planning the big event. That isn't even the most exciting part. I get to finally meet my new nephew Connor. My sister, Erin, had baby Connor on January 17th. So our little bundle of joy (and yes we have a name picked out) already has a cousin close in age. Too bad we don't live close by. That is a big disadvantage for living in Virginia, we don't get to family and friends as often as we like.
So here is my promise to my (future) followers. If you want to know what is going on with us and to see some pictures of baby boy Thomas, keep checking in to see what is happening. Also, check out my other blogs (seeing that I should be updating those as well).
